Tai Chi combines deep breathing and relaxation with slow and gentle movements. Originally developed as a martial art in 13th Century China, Tai Chi is today practised around the world as a health-promoting exercise.
There are different styles of Tai Chi, such as Yang, Chen, Wu, Lee, Sun etc. There are also more modern styles and Short Forms that are used for competition or are easier to learn than traditional family styles.
We teach Yang Style Tai Chi (the most common style found in the west) and Yang’s Long Form. Don’t worry if you don’t know what that means, we take you from the very beginning and explain everything as you go along.
You can find further information both about Tai Chi and about Tai Chi Stuff here.
You can start Tai Chi at any of our classes at any time. We don’t wait to start a batch of beginners together, we have a mix of all abilities in every class.
